Question on blanket and their red/blue stripes

I'm in the believing that the red and blue stripes on blankets were always "woven in", not printed!

A search in older threads didn't reveal much for me, except for the fact that this issue was raised before without any consensus.

What is your opinion? Is above statement just a collectors mythe or does printed versions existed as well?

I honestly dont know the answer but mine is woven and thats the only style I actually feel 100% about. I just dont have that sense of gaurentee with the printed version. Glenn

I agree - you can get ordinary old blankets everywhere for cents.
Just print the stripes on, and sell them for a uge profit...

i think the ostfront repro blankets had woven red/blue stripes...but the wool content seemed minimal so they are in my opinion as warm as a sheet full of holes. display only. but not printed.a printed one sounds a very sorry animal indeed.unless 100 per cent late war...

I used to own two 'straight from woodwork', both had weaved stripes and labels. Now I just acquaint third:- obviously 'weaved' pattern, in my opinion textbook.
