    Hello David,

thanks I would like to ask you for taking my apologize for my childish behave in post #56. Sorry Mate.

I would like to enhance that the bags were bought by me on the fleamarket in very low price that is why I'm very stick to theirs orginality. Just can't imagine how they could be faked for that low money, to me impossible.

First my apologies to say that Poland is in Eastern instead Central Europe.

Second, who say that i'm a equipement expert ???? Except you. As have alreay say, i'm on this forum to learn, and hope you too !

Third : i stay on my position : The prym snaps on your bags are repro and for sure also your bags. Have put 2 exemples of fake items with the same snaps, and WILLI and PATRICK have confirmed. But if you are happy with and if the buyers of your two sets on the estand are happy , it's the main.

Fourth: I have a lot of repect for you and other collectors here . Have just give my argumented position and i understand you are a little annoyed.

Fifth : here a little drawing about the magnetism of your snaps. Just my theory.

    Thanks a lot David

Thank you for the input John and Patrick, I assume that "Prym6" snaps are suspected.

Mr Willi Zahn, who opened thread about them states that fake "Prym6" which are you reffering were made from zinc.

      My are not.

Why you are think that "Willi's snaps" and my are the same??? My are clearly magnetic.

      123.jpg

I've paid less than 50€ for 21 bags. Who will fake them for that amount ??? I've purchased them on the fleamarket. Most members here indicate only "Prym6" as red flag, while the cloth, colour, ageing and stamps are welcome and assumed as good.

What about my "Prym4" snaps? Are you also seen SIMILAR fakes. Obviously you were but zinc or steel, who cares...

I do not want to argue with everybody, but please READ, there is BIG DIFFERENT between zinc made or zinc coated.

Why You Gents dont even take my words under consideration???

another thing is a steel wire that snaps the head - that must be steel to be flexible. would be nice to do a magnet test on these fake para smocks

What about brass wire like in present Prym snaps???

I would be nice to discuss about items inspected in hand not drawings or theories.

I agree with you David. The Prym 6 snaps are fake. The shape of the number "6" is the key for me.

I am not convinced the fake snaps I posted are the same as the on Robert's bags. But, I do not like the ones on Robert's bags. Post #34 shows a nice original next to Patrick's, and the lettering details are not the same. To me the aging on this snaps do not look natural.

Sorry Robert, but IMO your bags are not original. I don't like the snaps, the markings, and the overall appearance.

                    Thanks for the input Willi.

Actually these two pictures from post #34 has been taken by me and shows my bags. I also would like to ask :- You dont like markings and apperance of the "PRYM6" snaps or ink stamps and look of whole bags?

David:- if I would not be sure about them I would not show all details and make comparsions with my other items in good faith?

                    Gents,

What about my "Prym4"? Both executed from steel, ALL PARTS - I got them in hands but I do hope that my pictures also talks:

Yes, the 6 is so much different, the hole in the original 6 is egg shaped, at the fakes round.
(In add., the PRYM letters are totally different, too - both in dimension, and how deep imprinted. Also the dot-circles, the number of dots, and the space in between).

Price and where found is no indicator, I have found cheap fakes over the years at fleamarkets, either in a lot, or the seller was glad to get rid of the stuff. Other options possible of course.

For the Prym 4 snaps, repro too, sorry. On the post #15 we see clearly that they are artificially aged, and the rust is very fresh .

I'm in this hobby for a while and I'm able to recognise artificial patina. I 'm also my own mind and I use it not only to repeat opinions of other members by using "we".
To confirm that these are bad I need to see them used on other items.

This part of the forum is divided into two kinds of members:
                          1. Askers " What do you think? ", "Have you ever seen? "
                          2. Repeaters "Good", "Bad because "
I help people here continuously. I need to pay membership and I'm doing it in my spare time. So please be so kind and don't treat my as kid. This forum stands on people.
                          My OWN five cents.
