any thoughts on this bottle, are they unusual or standard issue?

Medical yes, but not WH...These were intended for DRK or other paramilitary organisation.

I often see these brown hookless bottles selling on Ebay and on dealer sites listed as 'LW medics', 'FJ' , etc...

Don't get fooled by that!

Hi,

Yes,this is a DRK canteen minus the carrying strap.
It's hard to find a DRK Canteen and matching carrying strap with DRK markings.
The straps were marked : "DRK Sanitätslager Babelsberg".

Ciao Jan, I remember well this nice 3d, but we are always waiting for the manual of member albertcher to be 100% sure thta this 1L canteen with brown leather was for DRK
