The bottle pictured here, am I also quite confident about.
I got it directly from a friend of mine, who found it while he was diving at a german shipwrech that was sunk during the war.
The text on the bottle reads "Schlör"
I have done a searc on schlör, and found that it was proberbly some apple juice or apple cider on this bottle.

Next item here is a small throat-tablet box.
Interesting item, wich I think is manufactured during the war.
Notice the producent/factroy name - IG Farbenindustrie.. Most known for producing Zyklon B gas during the war.

Next item here, am I a bit unsecure about.
It is a Dutch ceramic BOLS bottle.
The bottle is old, no doubt, but could this be a pre war, or wartime production?
Any input and opinions are welcome.

And the last items here, I would really like to hear some opinions on.
These are four unopened cans, containing 400 grams of bread each. The cans are in rather good contidions. Perhaps the contents are still eatable? (Im not planning to find out )
Anyway - could these be genuine wartime bread rations?

Kevin, I don't see a problem with the pudding packets. The overstamping looks okay. It wasn't that unusual for firms to reutilize older packaging by overstamping outdated info or completely new info for another product.

Björn-nice items. I like the everything except the bread cans. I believe these are Bundeswehr. Haven't researched the BOLS either.

The 1943 Colonialwaren Shopkeeper's Magazine I have has an ad for Nestle. It is called "Ideal Milch", and has a three initial design on the front in calligraphy of sorts. I will scan the ad when I have time.

btw, Good find on the Weisse Garde. I am sorry I have been selling them as original but no one is perfect and I guess they are only $5.00 so It wasnt that bad... I can't authenticate everything! What a tool the Internet now is for research. Couldnt have done these things even 10 years ago.

I believe the bols genever (gin) bottle to be postwar, for two reasons:
1) My grandparents had the very same bottle in their liquor cabinet in the 1970's, and poured from it for visiting friends. I remember as a kid I liked the labels with the different units for the contenance.
2) There are lots of collectors for these items, who could date it precisely. Look on www.bottlebooks.com and search for 'Bols bottles'. There a similar bottle is described as a 'new' one, whatever that means for specialists.

Could somebody give some feedback on the dating of the bread cans?

Panflavin cough drops were also produced postwar, but this tin stands a chance of being period. There are variations in the print. In Belgium Panflavin was sold in the 1950's with bilingual text (Dutch/French). I recently sold a German (period) one.
I.G. Farben was a conglomerate of several large chemical companies. This name was still in use postwar, even the infamous Zyklon B brand existed until the 1970's (in South America).

I believe the cans okay because Bayer split from I.G. Farben, when it was dissolved after the war, because of its connections to war crimes.Bayer would break out as a separate firm. As you mentioned IG Farben didmanage to survive and as I understand it its still traded on the stock market. Jim
