Well, now that I'm home from my deployment, I can now take out my items for show 'n tell time.
To start, here's everything that I know is original, is from the period or I suspect is real.
The only items that are suspect are the zelt, ID disc, rucksack and compass. I purchased the zelt and ruck while I was deployed, so I just got to inspect them in person on Friday after I got home.
The zelt:
The only marking I can find. It is in the head hole and appears to be "11b" in a circle.
The rucksack has no markings other than the one on the inner pocket and hooks. It is missing one of the bottom hooks, but the seller was nice enough to send another along with it.
The ID disc was found in a horrible fake tunic I purchased years ago. The only reason for buying it was for the original buttons and insignia that was on it. The disc was found in a pocket.
The compass was bought years ago, when I was reenacting. I never found out if it was real or not, since it came out of Eastern Europe. I know it is an artillery compass, due to the A and the scale being in mils, I think, instead of degrees.
The water bottle/canteen. I know the strap/cup are postwar, but the flask and cover are real.
The shovel. Purchased along with the id disc. I thought it was Swiss or something until I started using it and wore off some of the paint. I assume it is Imperial Russian.
Messkit. The pot's swivels are unmarked.
One of my favorite items. A pre-war, 36 or 37, Welta Weltini. It takes great photos and I've got another one that's postwar and is identical.
A couple of bayonets. I forget where I picked them up.
This one is matching, but some goober took a grinder to it before I got it.
My helmet. I need a 61 liner, but I could only afford a 66 shell, so the liner that's in it is a bit of a hackjob. It is an ET66 that I had painted. I've got a 68 shell coming to me, though.
A Bible.

A box of prewar 7.92 rifle ammo. The cartridges are brass cased and all look nice. I've got five boxes of it.
One of the more interesting things I've purchased. I think it is a Pak38 gunsight, but am not sure. It was sold to me as a flak sight. The eyepiece on the right end is spring loaded and the rubber bellows is almost petrified like it had been stored on it's end.
This is my best find to date. I purchased it back in my reenacting days at an Army/Navy store. I saw the base of the can sticking out of a huge box of 1950's Soviet gas masks. I snatched it out and dug around in the box, finding the mask w/filter. The only things I added were the original gas cape bag, a postwar cape and unknown straps. The straps are unmarked.
Oh, and I got it for $25.
The following scopes are pre-war and the mounted Zielsechs will be used on a LSR rifle I'm going to have built. Robert in Austria did the reblue and recoil ring on it. He does great work!
Zielvier:
Well, that's it. Now, it's not museum-grade nor worth thousands upon thousands of dollars, but it's all mine!
