Shovel - Entrenching tool leather carrier - Opinions needed

Hello Guys,

I've had this piece for years in my collection and I had bought it
from a person who is known to sell a lot of fake material.

I'm quite sure that it's a good one, but some other opinions are
welcome!

Let me know what you guys think!

could anyone help here, please...
this model also came with a metal edging to the bottom of the frame, right?
if so, were there three models of folding carrier? i get 3, if i do the maths...but i dont know for sure...

This is a shovel carrier of the first type.
The first type carrier was made of leather or pressed cardboard. It has a lid and never came with "metal edging on the bottom of the frame".

The second type has no lid, but has the "metal edging on the bottom of the frame", metal piece meant to receive the end of the blade.

There is no other type of regulation folding shovel carrier

Nice to hear that it's a good one. Allready had it for some years and
always kept wondering, though i knew it was good. Those early
types of equipment are getting scarce.
