what ? who said you so? There are no features of postwar breadbag in this example ( for example wider frontal loops, leather reinforcments around button holes or divider with additional pocket inside ).
Breadbag is mid to late war original.

the diffrence in color in cloth is nothing unusual in mid to late breadbags. germans simply used everything what left in supplu storehouses.

The straps were probably used to attach things like the mess-kit onto the bag.

The brown strap looks World War One to me. No problem, WH used 'older' pieces too...
No markings on this brown strap?

Well, I am sure it's WW I. Somewhat more scarce, I believe.

Brotbeutel is 100% original. Typical mix of fabrics.

                    Breadbag looks good to me!
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

nice mixed tone wehrmacht bb...never a bad thing to find bits in it, like these straps...i personally feel mixed tone is as much to do with the appauling light in the slave labour workshops like lodz as it was to do with 'using scraps'...a shame there is no black and white confirmation re the permission to use mixed tones in such production...given the reich was so strict then, i would expect such mixed tone kit to have followed prior expressed permission.

I think that would be a stretch... The persons sewing up the bag pouchs run out of cloth before another station and starts drawing from a new bolt with a difference in shade. Now belt loops made from the prior bolt of cloth now cannot use the last few from the prior bolt because the color is not exactly the same?
