I am in love with a fur pack

I am in love with a fur pack.

I know. there are a lot of ways to take that statement. But I am hoping we can remember that we are adults

This fur pack is a 1937 dated example of the M34 type. The shoulderstraps are matching maker marked and dated 1937 with B37 stamps.

The three M31 greatcoat straps are matching maker marked and dated 1938.

All aluminum hardware, nice olive canvas.

Now, admittedly, fur packs might be seen by some to be rather boring and fairly common bits of field gear. Not every one of them gives me a thrill. But this one does.

Thought I would share photos with you all.

          tornister

Cute. Have You noticed, how hard it is to find perfectly matching tornister with the same maker on all parts? I have such one in my collection and can't remember if I have ever seen another.

you really couldnt ask for a better example Ken. thats as mint/matching as they come. good for you. thats the type of piece that only gains value and sells in a New York minute. Glenn
