    Repo SS Y-Strap

I think this is a repo, because I have never seen one like it. But I thought I would ask before I sell it as a repo. Thanks Matt

            Hello,
I would certainly not sell this pair of Y-straps as repro, but as a nicely marked (RBNr) original late war pair that has been saboted with some bogus SS markings....priced accordingly of course, but not given away at repros prices...

                    Hello
I can see the original Rbnr# just above these fake markings .
Why are faker so damn stupid
Price wise , considering the condition , would say $180 , without these markings anywhere between $200 to $300 ( really depend on who wants a pair that day)
                    Regards
                    P-Y

Phew! That was a close one!

I thought if these were fake or repro (exception of the ss markings) we would have no chance spotting real ones!

                      Cheers

These straps are nice originals with a still visible RBNr wich some a@@@@le "complemented" with fake SS stamps...I echo Steiner...that's VANDALISM
                        Cheers

                          Just out of curiosity...
There are indeed some excellent features to these straps, but I often question the type of pebbled loops that are being used here as well as the end gas mask hook (can't quite tell from the photo) that is often seen on many copies.

Aside from the fake stamps, if these are indeed mid to late war straps, judging by the use of the lightweight front hooks, would it be common to see such nice crisp pebbled leather loops?

Almost all of the original examples I have seen use smooth leather loops...
Also there seems to be two schools of thought on the gas mask hook.
Some people pass them as original wartime production and some suggest post war.

                          Just wondering how others feel.

                          Thanks
