    Bakelite flashlight Zeiler

I'd like to show you my new flashlight, a bakelite Zeiler. It is very dusty, but all intact! Interesting the light reflector is made of paper backed foil, like the one in the cigarette boxes! I just love those bakelite things!

    hi Teodor

that is a good ww 2 zeiler pocketlight ,i like also the bakelite pocketlights, bakelite was dicovered by a belgium man in 1908 his name was Leo Baekeland

i think the paper foil,is fantasy (maybe wartime)

    this is mine zeiler pocketlight

    greetings bruno pocketlight collector

Hi Bruno! I believe it is some wartime sub-type of the flashlight, because it is very well made, factory made foil reflector. No traces of folding and modifying on it - and it is very fragile and thin material, I think it should have lots of traces if self made.

        Theodor, nice one!
Is this a standard military (wehrmacht) model or also used by civilians?
        Regards Peter

          hi Theodor

it is the first time i see this reflector on a 4350 zeiler pocketlight, but for everithing there is a first time

when i see the close up photo of the reflector,i think it is original to the lamp

          thanks greetings bruno

might have to find one of these, I saw one was found inside a stug wreck pulled from a river not too long ago

the paper reflector would seem to be an economy measure?
