Picked up this KM marked 1930 model gasmask with some other stuff from another collector who didn't notice the KM stamp on the inside of the mask. Is the partial stamp inside the spare lens compartment the KM stamp for the canister? Mask and canister are in nice condition and look complete except for the missing spare lenses and mic cord. I understand the mic cord is for giving orders with the mask on but how did they hear a reply or was there not suppose to be a reply? I don't collect field gear and would like to know what a fair price for the set would be? Thanks, Chuck

Indeed a nice KM GM 30 with mikro anschluss
What you see in the spare lense compartment is indeed a Eagle M (Kriegmarine sign) so this appears to be a nice complete set.
Is that a short cannister ? (aprox 25 cm)
As far as I know, the man operating the mike could wear a headphone without any problems....

Hi Chuck,
I agree wit Tom, that's a very nice and complete KM gasmask set (short cannister).
No doubt that your partial stamp is the KM "eagle M" specific marking. You can see the similarities with the stamp below, as well as its location (inside the box itself) where these are supposed to be. Unfortunately, and on the contrary of you, the person from which I got mine did notice the stamp...
I see your mask has a named filter and that the strap also carries a cloth tag, like it was very often the case on such KM items. Very nice to see both do match, it's a real plus !
PS : what do you mean by yours is "missing the mic cord" ????Attached FilesLast edited by Edelweiss; 05-07-2009, 05:39 PM.

I have this set complete and the box is marked with a KM-Stamp.
If you like a photo I can sent one to you.
Post the photograph here, so everyone can see it. I'm curious too to see the box, then you know what to look for.

Chuck:
The worth of the mask depends on a few things...
We all can see the condition is very good... Is the cannister named ?? Is it the same name as on the mask, etc etc...
For me, it's the small extra details what makes a mask worth more...
