St./J.R. 51 = Stabkompanie of Infanterieregiment 51
I = roman 1 that indicates its use within the Kompanie
Would S 37 be a B 37 instead ?

At first I thought it was a "B" but then again maybe it is a "S". I've seen "S" before on some pouches but I'm not sure if it is Stuttgart or another city. On this pouch it looks as though the unit stamp was made after the acceptance stamp. Most Joseph Moll pouches I've seen have a clear and well defined impression. Cool pouch with lots of character. BTW, what is a "Stabkompanie"?

I need a better understanding of the Roman numerals. Somewhere I thought I read it meant parade use but most pouches that are unit marked have a "I". So I'm not so sure about that either.

It's a normal thing if most pouches that are unit marked have a I stamped in them. When they were stamped, they were mint, perfect in shape/stitchings etc....so they received the top grade which was I. Not so long ago, there was a ammo pouch posted on WAF which had both I and II stamped on it...

and this grade did indicate the use made of the pouch within the company

Thanks for the explanation about the company and grading; it also confirms what Rick had posted. As to the double roman numerals stamping, perhaps you are thinking about the K98 frog that Rick recently had on the eStand that had both an "I" and an "II"?

So it seems there was a process in place that allowed gear to be inspected after a period of time, some of which might receive a second "II" or an additional "I". How often was this inspection done?

There is a pouch on eStand now with what appears to be an additional "I" added. If you look closely, it appears a second "I" was added to the existing "I" as it is slightly lower than the first. For convenience, it is posted here:

I think you're right concerning the markings I & II, it was stamped on Rick's frog...sorry about this mistake but we see so many frogs, ammo pouches, belts&buckles that sometimes it confuses me.
I guess some unit had a II stamp available, and some didn't and used the I stamp tp make I, II, III and why not a part of the number IV....we know for sure that some unit had a I stamp, a II stamp, etc....but how many used the I stamp "trick" to downgrade the equipment ?
According to some infos i found on the Internet, it is believed that if the S acceptance stamp did exist, it was perhaps meant for the town of Salzburg...
Last ammo pouch posted was issued to Nachrichten Abteilung 52. Nice III stamp. Could we see both other lids open por favor ?
I would like to see if this one was brand new when issued, so it should bear the I & II stamps...or if it bears only the III stamp....it means that Na. Abt. 52 was one of these poor unit that had to deal with one I stamp only...or more probably, it will show that they received used equipments for training use and stamped them accordingly...

Forgive for my short answers. The matter is that my English very bad. I use the electronic translator. Sometimes the text is translated by my girlfriend. She is works in the American company, in Florida and freely talks in English. But I cannot ask to do it it often. Therefore I answer shortly These pouches belong to me, and will be on sale in the near future. All pouches which I show from military warehouses in Ukraine. I show a photo only those pouches which personally had control over.

I thought it was the Zug (platoon) number, a normal kompanie had 3 zug's.
