What a nice HBT tunic. You should have said in the first place that you wanted to set up a Kanonier.
Infantry Y-straps were not issued to the non mounted personel of the Artillery branch of service. And mounted personel didn't have this "heavy model", but the light one, meant for them and Officers. Some light model examples received vertical D-rings in order to fasten the Packtasche 40.
My advice, buy the Y-straps and change the shoulderstraps for Infantry ones, or any other branch of service that received the Y-straps.

if i can add something....a nice painted steel buckle would be great for an EM at this stage of the war...
JPhilip, thanks for the info. Is there any chance that a artillery man used straps like this? I currently have the straps on the way. I may put them on another tunic if this is not correct. I have spent my last 11 years in medals and now finding my learning curve is straight up in equipement. This is ok, because I have found a new spark that has gotten me very interested again in this hobby.

We will talk again and thanks,
      Eric
      I once flew in a B-17, B-24, & a B-25. Next, I want to fire an 88 round.

Yeah Eric, regardless of which Y-strap you end up using for your display, you ended up with a nice one. May I ask what it set you back? Just for info purposes; the one I provided a link to was rather expensive but I felt it had a good chance of being original.

195 Euro's - was it a deal or over priced? The American Dealer prices were more expensive than the ones overseas.

I think that was a very reasonable price, and you could easily recoup your money from.
