A close up of the D rings. The stitching does not seem to match unless I am imagining things.

    I once flew in a B-17, B-24, & a B-25. Next, I want to fire an 88 round.

        Hello again Eric,
In spite of what some members say here concerning the item posted IMO you should not buy these Y-straps. It's a put together item....look at the shape of both leather pieces that cover the back of both rivets...not the same shape...look at the small D-ring fitted to auxiliary straps...not the same shape...look at both front hooks, one has roller bar, the other doesn't. There is one leather stopper missing at the end of one front strap....too easy to put a new hook....
Looks like the left front strap is a replacement..or an attempt to deceive collectors. There are plenty of middle/late war unissued Y-Straps...i'm pretty sure you'll find a pair soon....

Eric, I personally agree with JPhilip here. The stitiching pattern is different on both front pieces around the rivets and I just don't like the back strap. The leather seems thinner than the rest and it really does look made up or pieced together. Just too many inconsistencies for my taste even if late war. I would pass also. Mike.

Mike & JPhilip thank you for your input. The more I look at different Y straps I am starting to get a feel for them now. It's like getting educated all over again. You learn something new every day. Thanks again for all the help. I"m sure I will be back again with another set until I get this right.

            Thanks again,
            Eric

I agree that upon close inspection, this set looks put-together.

I also agree that the back strap / stud on this one looks weird too...

As for the price, seems pretty common judging by current "top dealer" prices.

Would need another picture or two to feel warm and cozy with it.

Well, I have four more straps to share so please let me know what you think. Here is the first one. I believe that this strap has some problems and someone seems to have oiled it.
