    tropical Gasplanentasche

Is this an original one or a copy?
    I have doubts about it.

I dont see anything wrong at all. construction, material, markings and "stocko" snaps are all good. all I see is an unissued mint gas pouch. I like it very much. Glenn

Gents - This example is currently on Manion's. The cape inside is marked "I/56 Wien" which I interpert as a piece of equipment manufactured in Vienna in the first quarter of 1956. Can I assume the carrier was made during the same time?

              Thanks - TJ

There are some Gasplanes in the early Bundeswehr. But the pouches are smaller then the Wehrmacht ones.

I dont know about that gas sheet though TJ is showing. it might be one of those trop repros out there. I forget the maker they stamp on them. I dont even care for the snaps on that pouch shown either. but I could be wrong. I dont look closely at trop goodies, especially the fakes for comparison. Glenn

The cape is postwar austrian with a fake label over the original .

You can see the original label here

Indeed these were discussed before and labeled as fakes....

here another one that sold yesterday by one of these fine ebay sellers (NOT!)

I am very skeptical of any of these labels. I was playing around with a Word program just two days ago, and made some labels printed on brown paper.............scary how easy it is to make these.
