Here is a smoke grenade I picked up recently. It is in rough shape. However, it is what it is. You can still faintly see the maker marks on the handle (Richard Rinker 1940). I figured it had to be worth $50. Does anyone have any idea how much this one would be worth considering its condition?

I believe the grenade head has been painted over at some time. I cannot see any markings on it. However, the inside of the can still has a strong smell of gunpowder.Comment

I agree that the head is a repaint. the whole piece is definitely real but in the shape its in it really isnt worth much. probably about what you state. the handle is pretty well beat and missing of course its end cap and all the guts. not really a collectible anymore unfortunately. Glenn
