    Hello Tom,
this A-frame made of Feldbluse internal removable belt suspenders is a real cracker. Congrats for this find. They are quite rare in this condition now and very desirable...what's the metal used for both rivets that hold the Zelt straps please ?
    Very nice...

      Very nice Tom.

Before your post I hadn't seen one like this before. And if I had been offered it I would have thought it was some "Frankensteins" monster of a A - frame! I know better now.

      Cheers

      Ian

        @ Jean-Philippe :

Thanks, I have benn looking for such an A-frame for a long time..., it looks like one rivet is steel and one is alu. Strange combination....
        here a picture:

@Ian... I know, something new to learn almost every day The sad thing is that I thought the same way many years ago, and let one go that I could buy for aprox 60$.... (Lessons in collecting militaria were never cheap )

              Haj George

the a frame is not field made or anything. It is typical late war factory production. i did have one myself a year ago, and now and then you see them turning up.

              best wishes

                A-frame

                'Evening All,
Now for a trip down memory lane - when my collection was in its first incarnation in the 1960s/70s I was offered an A-frame by a guy called Ian Evans, who dealt from Liverpool I believe, for the sum of £10 GBP. I had started buying from Alan Beadle (Yes him - before he upset too many people) and mentioned it to him and was sold a superb specimen (maker from Bielefeld, but can't remember the name - possibly 1941 date) for £7/10s! Later I bought a Zf41/1 in its tan can for £15. He'd ordered a boxful of gear from Germany and the seller had sent a pile of scopes by mistake!
While still thinking about A-frames, a few years ago there were several available from different makers with matching bags and I'm pretty sure all from 1941 - now what was the story behind that lot?
Who said "nostalgia ain't what it used to be"!
                Have fun,
                Grossfuss
