weird scabbard

i just bought a bayonet scabbard with afroka corps paint the markings on it are s/239.k one side and 73 the other, is it post war? plz help

what do you mean by afrika korp paint ?? photos would help so please post some photos ( you could put them to ImageShack or any other phtos sharing site and put links here ).

do u know about the markings? shouldnt there be a date on the scabbard

Hello, the markings with S/... are very early prewar. Yours S/239 stands for the maker Rich. Herder. The letter K stands for the year 1934. the number 73 should be the serial number...hope it helps...
