Here's a bunch of my Luftwaffe equipment on a mannequin, all dated 1940, that is representative of an airman during the Battle of Britain. The Schwimmweste is the rare full-back kapok version.

Paul,
Actually the whole display was done by Tod Rathbone in Los Angeles. I sent him my things and he assembled it all on his mannequin and superimposed the background for effect. He should be sending me more pics which I will add. I'll also be sending him other items to photograph as he is putting together a "virtual museum" of Luftwaffe flight gear and clothing.

Gentlemen,
Thanx for your responses. Jos, I don't have a mannequin here or else I'd have taken more pics but I simply don't have the room. I have the open back kapok vest too and would have posted pics, but François' example is as nice as mine is. The only pieces of flight gear that I'd love to get but don't have are an oxygen mask (2 strap) and a flare bandoleer. Maybe someday. . .
