That's right Michael... 2 different hooks I've examined the stitching but no hook looks replaced though...

Hi,

Do you mean the 'seam'? Or the square piece of canvas that was oversewn over that spot on earlier frames?

That's why I thnk it's a later war model. You often see a mix of different hooks on later war models, also on rucksacks.
I think I have the same a-frame, looks like the same webbing and constuction(also two different hooks, light grey and dark grey).

Only mine has replaced straps (and B.F. stamp, from the famous group of frames) and colour of webbing is a little bit more green.
Another late war feature is the missing of the rollers on the strap buckles.
The stamp could be a Rbnr.
