Think it's a fake or made for a movie. Code must be "dxo" (Mühlenbau-Gesellschaft Liebeck&Co, Wilhelmshöher Allee 157, Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe) instead of "DXO". Not unusual that this manufaturer maybe made sticks for HG24, but I don't believe in the shown one. Does anybody know the belonging of the WaA-Stamp??

difficult to read for me after sitting behind the screen all day already. I say it is or 103, for which are two possibilities:
-Hans Deuter, Koffer-, Rucksack-u. Lederwarenfabrik, Augsburg, Bayern (bmo)

-Fabrique Nationale d'armes de guerre (F.N.), Lüttich (Liège) Belgien (ch)

or 403 for which I could only trace this:
      WaA403 (CZ)

      best wishes

        Hello,
Thank you for your response. Now I know it is 100% copy.
I'm also adding a photo of copy of similiar (identic) grenade.
        regards,
        dredon

I saw this on E-bay as well,, it sold for £322.00. a lot of cash wasted if this is a copy.

The head does not unscrew on it !!!!!!! (The seller quotes) you can quite easily stamp the Waf on the top of the can then make sure that the can will not unscrew , makes you wonder,

I think the paint on the head looks original.
Can we hear some more views ?

            Regards,
            Steve

The WaA stamp is a worry, all WaA stamped grenades i have see have had a stamp done with paint , the pins holding the threaded conector for the head to the handle are no good, by 43 these were pierced tab attatchments, paint looks ok but as for the head not unscrewing thats a danger signal....need to look inside to access the originality but everything looks bad. If you have never seen inert-ord.net I recomend you spend some time looking around the site, some great tips on weeding out the fakes there.
theres far to many rogues out stnging collectors and this is the sort of activity that drives people away from our hobby.

Several points of detection leaves us no doubt!
                -The WaA should be inked
-The WaA is pure nonsense, as the eagle should be above the WaAxxx, not inline.
-The pins holding the head is nonsense
-The white text on the head is nonsense. By 1943 the head is never painted with the instructions
-The capital letters on the wood is nonsense

I agree on all points stated here for the 2 cans and the top shaft. but I feel the shaft in pic #4 could very well be good. sure looks like period color paint and I like the blue inked WaA on the shaft as well as the paint on the very top of the shaft below the collar. I know they should be crimped by this time but We always see varients from time to time. you Guys are stating this stick here is a forgery? Glenn

Regarding the stick with the WaA mark Im unable to find a reference to a DXO maker code also correct me if Im wrong but wernt the codes stamped all lower case ?
Yes the WaA on that stick looks good, I have examples with impressed WaA and also ink stamped WaA on the handles butI would imagine high end fakers would get the details right , look at the screws holding the threaded collar to the stick, far to big in my view and I think it was posted as a knowen fake to compare with the aged example in posting #1

Ill have to check my screws on my M24 to see if they are smaller. you may be right. as far as the 3 letter code, capital letters stand for an actual abbreviation of the company. lower case letters were given by the governmnet and stand for a given "name" so as to hide the true companys location from the enemies. its a fake i have had a look at the pics and it looks wrong the contures on the wood and on the metal work is slightly different to origionals plus the green is too dark the colour dosnt look right and the writing and WaA stamp leave it alone
