These items are made from very german wool stoff and threads...
Anybody else any opinion?

Mine were made from German looking wool also, and had 3 hole zeltbahn buttons on them.

They look like a pair of gaiter , field made . When were they made and who used them ?? you guess is as good as mine.

I think I recall seeing such gaiters in one of period photos. I mean such way of closing. But what troops were they....have no memory of that. Also I might be mistaken and becoming delusional

Hi friend,
I suspect these items could be some sort of gaiters too.If field made i do not know as I am not sure if ordinary sewing machine would do such sort of button hole margin-can anyone tell if wartime Singer or Bobin sewing machines were able do this sort of margins please?

Looks like gaiters from Switzerland, made during WW1-20's.
