BrunoH,
Thanks for posting this...so many of the "WWII" pouches that are offered on the internet Ebay etc are 90% post war that have been "doctored" to look like WWII units. Goofy ink stamps fake paper content lables.....the list goes on....and many of them get good $$$ when they sell.
I have yet to add a leather or Prestoff flare pouch to my collection....until I can see one with my hands im going to hold out.....Im happy with the web flare pouch that I have now.
I just recieved a photo watermarking program from one of our fellow WHA members (thanks very much FIELDGEAR) so once I have had some time to work with it I will begin reposting photos of my collection....and I will start with my web flare round pouch.

Hi whsammler,
120 % agree with your comment (specially with the incredible detail .. the very nice and famous big eagle with the flavour of fresh ink... ).
Anyway, the smell of this kind of pouch is very ... kind of mix of cigare... leather ... very strange ... and never forget it..
Wait a little bit and you would find one ;-)
Regards

-The low model was entirely made of leather, and is NORMALLY always marked with maker details at the center front flap. Can sometimes be found with brass hardware if made prior to 1938. (The low model in this thread does not look original to me, butif not it is the first BW I have seen of this model!)
-The high model (will accept 18 long flares) is always made of presstoff, period!! I have never seen a German WW2 made pouch of this model in leather. The leather ones are always BW manufacture!! Normally stamped on the left side low (seen from front)
