Doesn't the "BF" marking shows it was once owned by a German film company? (BTW I'm not doubting the authenticity of the frame)

        Regards

        Ian

ya know Ian, I could swear I see that "BF" on a few A frames. seems strange but I do. I do love that nice blue thread. that looks cool. nice find for sure. Glenn

thank you guys for your opinions, and thanks Glenn for your PM,
what are your opinions about the leather straps? perhaps replaced? the seller says that it was "contemporarily repaired", but i don´t know what want he says with this.... i will ask him.

leather straps are replaced.. IMHo - its not the correct strap for A-frame- I also believe blue thread maybe all replaced - whole frame could be restiched

typical ftame from german movie warehouse - there is plenty of these frames lately

actually - I looked again - on the first and last picture - You can clearly see where straps are replaced and there is restiching - but the rest of the frame has originall blue thread (I thought it maybe whole restiched before.,...)

Im glad you changed your mind on the stitching Mike. I was ready to argue this point out. I wont argue about the straps but on the stitching I would stick to my ground. Glenn

As strange as it seems, the blue looks like the original sewing. Wow. These BF A frames have been showing up in mass lately.

Here is my BF/ Barvaria Filmstadt (or something like that). I lucked out because it is mint, has the tan thread and it is a tropical/late war version.

From what I understand, these A frames first sold at a military show in Gemany 2003. Any help on this would be good.

I would NOT pass on it. I'm sure it is original.
The BF marking is postwar filmstudio marking (proberbly) but the A-frame itself is WW2 production.

BF A-Frame Owners' Club sounds an imminent thread perhaps...
