Hi all,
I'm relatively new to the collection of German field equipment and have a question about the shape of the M31 feldflasche.
I have one aluminium marked ccj41 with one side that is "rounded" and the other "indented" (I'm assuming to rest flat against your gear or body).
I just got another aluminium one marked G&CL 43 with both sides "rounded." It has the same dimensions as the first, except that both sides are "rounded." From pictures I don't believe this is one of the 1L bottles, but then again I've never seen one of the larger ones in person.
Questions: are both wartime M31 Feldflasche and was there a standard way to produce them, i.e. one side rounded and one side indented?
Thanks for any assistance, Jeff
