It LOOKS original, but I do think Michael's nose is right! I have this specific pouch (eue/43) and there are a few details on this one that doesn't rhyme! Sorry, but I'm pritty certain this one is no good!

this is a close one guys.. - IMHO - pouch IS GOOD (I dont have eue 43 to compare though) - based on this pictures - Monta - can You please post more pictures ?? - more closeups... inside..

mint items - means they were not used .. not touched.. they had to be stored for LONG time in one shape .. position and place......
this pouch has no storage ageing visible...

if this one was stored flat - would have lots of "lines" on fabric

if it was stored with magz - should have magazine impressions from inside.

on this pictures technically its perfect - construction.. leather.. etc...

more pictures please ! - Bergflak - I hope You are wrong and i hope my doubts are wrong too...

If you ask me what I do not like on these pouches I would answer: the way of leather parts sewing and a thread used for it, maybe I am wrong...

no idea how the hell it got preserved like that - but its PERFECT specimen IMHO.
POs there are traces of mags impressed - I guess it was stored with them....

Petr - I know what You are talking about - i think thread looks too white beacuse of the contrast of the picturres.. - I bet its looking better in hand...

Oh dear! Really tricky one this one! I have searched my collection and found 3 eue/43 to compare with. The specimen in the photos is just too good and too close to be a copy. But, with that said there are still some details that doesn't add up!
The "too well preserved" observation is good, because this one sports a uncommon feature: white stitching where the front and back pieces are joined! The factory standard on the eue/43 is a thread in the same color as the canvas. Check the reenforcement of the magwell bottom, the folded "mouth" of the magwell and the seams along the lids. They sport the correct color of thread. In addition the pouch has been badly sewn together. Check how the left seam at the back has been removed and resewn again, and the two seams along the outer rim runs perfectly parallell on my specimen, while this one sports a drunken seamstress.....
My specimen also has the benefit of 3 magwells that are of the exact same width. This one sports 3 different sizes, due to the irregular seams at the back.....
I would say that all on this pouch looks very well, except for the white thread and the way it was used to sew the front and back together. There are even some details (that I will not share openly) that leads me to believe that the rest of the pouch is undoubtly original.... TRicky thing to explain this one!
