    It seems there is more to be said on these backstraps than I thought. Very interesting. The backstrap is not a 'textbook' example but maby, maby, still manufactured pre '45. I'll gues will never now for one 100% shure. Oké, I try to live with that.

      Micheal was convinced about this strap being postwar, i would like to hear his reaction about the y-straps on ebay. Could there be a chance that there were some made during WWII and copied after?

          How can you be so sure? Did you replace it? Is there any proof? Pictures or some sort of..

            how about experience and good eye... ? will that be enough ??? cheers !
            PS in the past we hade threads with austrian straps - use search engine - and You will find lots of pictures etc...
