Tropical Ruck ID Help - Opinions

Here is another ruck I am not familiar with. It is not like the other tropical rucks I have since it has only one long pocket similar to one version of the Mountain ruck. All of the hardware is made of aluminum and it is dated 1942 on the inside with a very hard to read makers stamp. The shoulder straps also resemble those of the mountain ruck. At first I thought this was not even German, but after closer inspection it looks 100% German, just I have not seen this one before.

Can anyone help with this one.

    Thanks,

    Brad

            Brad,

            That a very interesting pack.

It does look like the early mountain pack...but I have never seen this type of alloy strap ends before.

Im also interested in what this turns out to be.

It would seem your a Rucksack collector like myself.

Yes, I do like field gear including rucksacks.

I really hope someone can help nail this one down.

I know: Very nice, quite rare in this condition and early( I've note that was made in 1942 but it's still early model) LW tropical Kampfrucksack Early cause these not common alu parts which were rapleced later in manufacturing by simple "LUX" parts. Check oryginal pics from Tunisia- Soldiers from Lw wore this pattern very often.

Thanks! That was a better answer than I was hoping for.
