    Hello to all

I recieved this black leather pouch togheter with a small lot.
I honestly don't know what it was used for. I asked some collectors overhere what the purpose was.
Some told me it was a pouch for artillerie-purposes??But that's all I can tell.

It would be great if someone could tell me what exactly was the contens of it and if this pouch is rare?

It is WaA-marked and there is also a round faint makersstamp.

Thanks in advance for the help

    cheers

        Hello Jan,
well the item you have posted certainly resembles the carrying case for the "Richtkreis 31". This was indeed an item issued to artillery related troops. If you have a copy of "Uniforms and traditions...vol 3" to hand you will find it mentioned on page 224.
If not, i'll send you a scan of it if you like?

        All the best,

        Patrick.

          Thanks alot Patrick

It would be nice if you could send me a scan of it!

Do you know what the value of such a item is, if complete?

          cheers

            Hi Jan,

as I have said to you before, this pouch was made for a cilindrical kind of mesuring divice, same hight and diameter then a toilet role (best way to describe it...) ,made out of bakelite. It's for an some sort of electrical mesuring device, like one would have an ohm meter, or ampere meter. It was used for testing radio equipment. This explains the padded inside of the pouch.
The inside of the pouch also contains a small loop for putting in a pencil, or some sort.

              Hi Jan,

              Stijn is right.

Just to show you this isn't for the Richtkreis 31 I've taken a snapshot of my case for this optical instrument.

Note the large pin in the centre on the bottom to secure the device.

Stijn, yes,now I remember that you told me this a long time ago, but probably wasn't listening again at that moment

                Thanks Bart for the picture...

Does somebady knows what it would be worth?
