    Here is my first pattern Jerrycan. This type is totally unmarked and is the original first issue from 1936. All paint is original. The primer is a dark yellow with field grey top coat. I got this one for £2 from a small military vehicle show.

      Here's an overall view of mine, an incredibly bad pic I admit. As you can see, more rust than paint but well...

      Adrian, I'll try to make some better views of the paint ASAP ; its a very dark green, almost black, like late M42 helmets I guess. Don't you have any chance to find the original paint below the farmer's one ? You schould try.

      If not, I think yours is worth being repainted in the right color, with a little "weathering" or ageing after that.
