I have a question about the roller that is on the buckle
Is it on all buckles , is it from a particular manufacturer or is it from certain production years?
I am asking because I have seen it on some but not all canteens.

It depends from the year of made. Canteens to 1943 have rollers and those from 1943 onwards haven't it.

When was find in Spain a nice konvolut of early cased canteens (2 years ago), unfortunately I had no money to buy ones
