    Are these jackboots original?

I have these jackboots about a year and a half in my collection. They came from Military Antiques in Stockholm which is also a sponsor of this site.

My question is: are these jackboots original German WW2? Must be the sole consist out of three parts? Any comments are more then welcome

    Greetings,

    Frans

              Hello
They look like private purchase to me ,type worn by NCO.
However ,the nails were installed post 45 and I think the same for the horse shoe iron.
They look to be of German manufacture.
              Regards
              Pierre-Yves

yup.. defintely private purchase.... many repairs and modifications (horse shoe replaced for sure - its too big for this boots - someone wanted to make this boots look like german ones..)... hard to say anything for sure now.... not too collectible IMHO...

But the Hobnails and the horse shoe could be installed pre `45 !
Maybe this boots were Walkoutboots and then, after they worn a lot and must be repaired, the hobnails and the horseshoe were added for field use.
                    Just my thoughts

                    Regards

                      Hello
I very much doubt it . If you look closely ,the hobnails have no wear and the little circle ,impression made in the leather around the nails ,indicate recent upgrade.
The horse shoe are the wrong size also.
Still a good pair of boots.
                      Regards
                      Pierre-Yves

Thoughts if the heel iron is period time placed, this is encountered that the heel iron is larger and heel smaller a bit, due to the drying and shrinking of the leather.
IMO the heel iron looks more period (its quite worn) than the nails.
                        Cheers
                        K.
