    Tropical Canteen - Variation

    Hi Guys,
Thought that this would be interest those with an eye for minor variations.
The 'coconut' is marked 'Ritter Alturit DRPa 8' The dome is in no way a repair - the length of the webbing is standard, and no 'button' hole for the standard nipple is present. I'll let the pictures show my point. Does anyone else have an example of this type?
    Regards,
    Mark.

Clearer shot of the dome, which certainly has some historical scoring

Agreed - But I always visit your web-site (love that Bergpack)! How have you been?
I almost pursued that set of webbed Pioneer packs on e-stand - I see they had domed flaps - I wonder how they compare?
I'd have to say that the dome on this canteen strap is a factory piece - you can see the length is standard, the normal nipple hole has not ever been in place or stitched over, then domes added. Interesting indeed. I would have thought that a great number had been manufactured in this pattern and we'd see at least other examples on the market?
This one has all factory stitching, and the webbing has not been played with or added to. I'd just like some info - I know it's 'good' (especially as I know where it came from).
                          Mark.
