Most German blankets that I have seen and owned are not marked. I have seen a lot of standard issue blankets but only seen photos of marked ones.
The cream colored blanket with one blue and one red stripe are only one pattern of blanket used by the Germans in WWII. As the wartime photo above shows, captured blankets from other countries were used (Italian in this case). In Hamburg there is a small museum housed in a former Luftschutz bunker. They have 3 original Wehrmacht blankets there- one is a light grayish green, one is a greyish blue, like a Luftwaffe color, and the other is a greenish grey. They also have some smaller tan blankets used by civilians in the shelter. I like blankets and have two of the standard cream colored one with the stripes. I also have a coarse gray blanket with blue stripes that came from a Wehrmacht barracks on the Eastern Front. And, I have a gray blanket with a Reichsarbeitsdienst property marking. I heard a true story about a US veteran who took a blanket from a Wehrmacht soldier because it was warmer than his US issue one. He swore that the blanket was purple.
If I have time later I will post photos of some of my blankets.

I also have the typical red/blue stripe deal but with no markings. I bought mine about 5 years ago right after I saw a great one in the Collectors Guild. it was also the same style but with the "moth proof" tag you once in a great while see. man, I waited a few days to think about and... gone! then I saw mine a few months later and said, "mine!" its nice but I sure wish I had the other one instead. Here is another Wehrmacht used blanket. A friend of mine bought it from www.ostfront.com years ago and I always wanted it. I finally got it this year. The dealer who runs that site bought this from a person who had taken it from a Wehrmacht barracks where it was abandoned after the war.Attached Files
