Stick Grenades Vs Standard Grenade Question

Hi i was wondering if there are any experts out there that know the vast diffrences in pros and cons of a Stick Grenade compaired to the Standard Pianple looking grenades or the ball designed grenades.

id be more detail in my description but at the top of my mind i cannot remember all the vas information on the names of these weapons so bare with me on what i mean.

i was wondering because at work the other day i had a discussion with a kid who was trying to tell me the stick grenades suck compaired to regular ball designed grenades and i wanted to know if this is truely the case so i know wether or not hes talking out his cornhole if you know what i mean.

anyhow if anyone could list the great diffrences id be apreciated.

not only would this help me understand the advantage and disadvantages of this weapon but ill know wether or not they would be effective for my robot mechanoid units im drawing up.

    thanks

    Hello
There is only ,one simple way to find out. Get both and do the experiment yourself ,and don't listen to others..
The disavantage ,is that ,the stick grenade ,was cumbersome and took a lot of space , butit was easier to trow IMO.

yes, as Pierre states. although the stick greande is more cumbersome, it can be tossed at a further distance than the pineapple style and with better accuracy. plus, with the M43 style grenade you can actually take off the handle if desired and still throw it as the detonator is all located in the head area. lets face it, the Germans put alot of engineering into all their equipment. most of what they produced was state of the art for that time period. when you look at alot of standard issued equipment they have many little extra options that in reality werent needed but still helped out in little ways. one can only imagine the countless extra hours spent on assembling things that other nations wouldnt bother to do. i think i understand for sure now. i have been designing some robots for a futureized war and figured id find out if the stick grenades would be useful and that person who told me that they were not is a real jackass it seems.

im essentually incoperating alot of WW II equipment for the 30 feet robots so i may have more questions to ask eventually about several other weapons over time.

        thanks
