            Hello all

Thank for the openning of this thread which, unfortunately doesn't bring anything to help us about those items.

I have read on this forum interesting discussions about items, manytime interesting but a few times, like this one, totaly uninteresting, when members attack a piece witch is for sale and when they think it's not ariginal, they have to argue about it, there we can read "it's fake, I agree, "..." (I like this reply, thanks to the member who posted it).

Personnaly, when I think that an item is not correct I give arguments to the owner and I explain why I don't like it, I don't put any word to get more post under my name.

Some members don't like those items, I respect their idea, personnaly I bought them to a non-collector person with many other items (SS photo album, flags, german bike, etc ...) so I know it doesn't come from a bad professionnal dealer.

Now I will argue to defend my items, all the copies I have met during some years were never made with different parts of webbing, in those pouches, we can see green and blue webbing, the leather is strong and doesn't smell anything.

As I said in the thread, the pouches are late war made, so we don't see any marks on the leather, the copies we met get those marks.

If any member can bring something interesting to this discussion, I will be please to read his thread, but please, keep unintersting comments as we have seen before my answer.

            Best regards

            Eric

Eric - with All respect - there is nothing to argue about IMHO - everything is wrong with these pouches - starting from wrong leather.. wrong style of leather straps at the front and back straps .. wrong D-rings.. wrong white threads... etc etc.. and terrible fake ageing..

sorry if You feel to defend these.....
If You feel like these are real - put them on ebay (buyers will werify how real these are..) - IMHO Estand is not a place for them....

                  mp40

hi ,is it possible to close the pouches with a mp38/40 magazin in it ?they could be late war ,not every piece is made like a textbook piece .also there are many field made items not always like the factory made ones.my first opinion is fake ,but afther reading eric's comment ,i believe it is a field made piece.( perhaps i am wrong)
                  greets

                    Hello

When I getted the pouches, magazines were inside, there is no problem to close the pouches when the magazines are in.

The idea of a late war model is correct, we can find different parts of web (blue and green), so we can be sure that it's late war made.

                    Thank you for your comment

                    Best regards

They may not be fake, as they could be postwar used by someone else, but they are not German WWII issue, IMO. The people who commented, Gene, Raoul and Mike are all highly repected field gear collectors.

I realize short "they are fake" answers do not say much, but most of us are so tired of the same old record being played. The stitching, the leather, note the other stitch lines on the leather pulls, the aging, but especially those "d" rings are all indicators of non-WWII German issue.

The "field made", "latewar means anything goes" arguements don't cut it....sorry. We have all seen latewar pouches....the last issue ones were in tan.
