New old find

Hello all;
1st post so hope this works;
I bought this gasmask can years ago, got put away and forgotten about. I'm not sure about its history so hope someone can help. Here are links to the pics I took today;

It is blue gray out side, green/gray inside the extra lense cap box on the lid is stamped with an ink stamp large "post war"/"pre war" eagle? cursive Wa. N 94. stamped into the metal is S & S 1936. It is just over 9 1/2" long and just under 5" wide. Can't find any other marks or stamps, any help would be great.

Hi there,

The can looks good. By the look of it, it may have been Heer, re-issued to the luftschutz. The ink stamp looks like a pre nazi-WaA stamp?

I think this original can could have been part of the lot issued to Spanish National army during the Spanish civil war.

Its an original pre WW2 cannister. The ink stamp shows the Waffenamt eagle of the Reichswehr which as still in use until 1937-38...then the Waffenamt eagle was replaced into the one we all know with swastika.
