Hi guys, are the STOCKO marked snap buttons German made? I have a couple of map cases that are unmarked, only the snap buttons are STOCKO. I think I have read somewhere these are German buttons, but do not remember for sure....?

"Stocko" is same big marker as "Prym"...I saw some of these on gas cape pouches...

I got now the bright idea to use the Search function of the forum
LOTS of result, seems these buttons were very widely used on the German items.
However I am not sure if my things are German. Maybe they are Bulgarian, with imported German snaps. This is one map case, the big snap button is STOCKO. The thing is named to a WW2 Bulgarian medical Captain, so either German or Bulgarian...Comment

As said, unsure where these cases were made. Seems the buttons are not enough clue for the country. Because found out my Yugoslavian WW2 canteen has Stocko snaps on the coverComment

Your folding map board appears to be standard German production. Hard to say for sure but German companies were the main producers (if not the only producers) of this product. What are the dimensions and I will look for the same type of one in my wartime German mapcase products catalog.
