Hello and a happy new year to you all!! I’ve heard/read some discussions on SS overseas caps with as opposed to without false piping. The consensus seems to be that they were produced both with and without false piping, with numerous known originals that lack it. I was wondering if anyone has any wartime photos showing SS overseas caps(in wear etc) that clearly lack false piping. Discussion of this subject interests me, and I can’t recall ever seeing period photos of these caps without it, though this is probably down to poor image quality more than lack of actual wear. I would love to see such photos if anyone has any, and is inclined to share. Thank you in advance for your time.
