I heard this rumor in the 1990s and have seen no evidence since then of fakes from China or any other asian country. I've seen some nice quality porcelain pieces that have had their maker's marks removed (Kayser, Rosenthal e.g.) and replaced with Allach runes, and the blatant fake pieces with the bottoms covered with fake markings including that of Allach.

I’ve seen a few crude fake Jultellers but they were easy to spot.
Nothing to fool most collectors.
