    SS sleeve eagle

I believe this to be a good piece and it passes "Mr. Blacklight". I wanted to open a discussion thread to give anyone with doubts a fair chance to shoot it down before moving it to e-stand. Thanks for your input.

          distortion

The colors on this is more of an ivory, but washed out under bright lighting making it look golden.

The eagle pictured doesnt look right. I think again, as Gary said, its a poor attempt to copy an early "hammer head" style.I read the other thread on this eagle and the "blanket" eagles. Very interesting info. FYI there are many period pics with the "hammer head" visible clearly, one of Jochen Peiper.Regarding the blanket eagles, I agree they are originals but the mystery(or not) is in why so many tunics today are showing up with this eagle,I think it shouldnt take an old detective to figure it out.

The "blanket" eagles show so often up on tunics because most of the tunics have re sewn insignias for my view. But there is no need for an detective.
