Early Allgemeine SS runic and rank tab

Just obtained to restore pre rzm Allgemeine SS tunic.

What period restoration? "Pre-RZM" wouldnt have double Sig runes. These are nice for 36-37 period. I dont have all my references any longer, but I think the Double Runes tab made its appearance sometime during 1934. Maybe mid 34

Both look like good originals. The age-shaping on the rune tab might make it tough to use for restoration, but it's certainly a good early one. I like the all-silver rank tress, and have this on a few early tabs in my collection - kind of a neat feature.

yes but tabs and ct are missing, just had the armband on, so will restore as early to mid lah

I cant see how you are going to restore the runic tab?
~It has many moths, misshapen buckram. What do you propose to do to them?
Knowing full well you are going to devalue them ?

It's possible

It can be done. I have restored alot of items but it takes alot of value away .i am a upholsterer by trade snd i have rolls of original fabric used but once you attempt to take them apart to restore its a 50 50 chance it will fall apart .a light steamer is the only way but so risky the item really has to be worth it. A tunic od easy to restore but a piece of insignia to put fabric behind the hole or rip is tricky amd to use no glue is a art

I have no intent of restoring the tab but restoring the tabs to a tunic collar by hand and very professionally, carefully!
