    SS Alteste????

    Could anyone identify this cap with respect to old fake or newer. I wanted to find out if it might be an Alteste due to it being rather well made and the materials. Thanks.

              Wrong insignia for an Alteste Howard … they usually have the 3 prong skull and 3 round pin zinc Assmann eagle combination. Also no 'Alteste' marked.

                Thanks Ian, I didn't think so either but wasn't confident of my own conclusion. Looks like it had some quality in it's material and construction for a reproduction though.
