    SS-adjutant visiting card. Opinions needed.

    Hey guys.

So, for the starters, I have posted this item to paper items forum before, but will try my luck here as well, since I assume there are more SS collector in this corner of the forum.

I stumbled across this item some time ago and would like to know if anyone here has SS visiting cards in their possessions. I would like to hear your opinions about this piece, even if I know it may be hard to say if it is real or not.
The idea of this being real is extremely intriguing since I once again have the possibility to buy it.

I will also attach link to my not so popular thread on paper items section.

I would truly appreciate your effort.

Yep, thats exactly the problem. The guy is asking 200€ for that piece and I'm pretty sure I could get it for around 140€, but would like to at least get something to compare it first.

Just the idea that someone would bother faking some Hajos visiting card and even build such lore around it feels kind of dumb. On the other hand they even fake fricking toiler paper so who knows indeed.

I had one for a Dr.(?) that was connected to an Einsatzgruppe.
There is no way to know.
        I bought it knowing this.
I sold it with the person that bought it knowing it also.

Thanks for your comment. I met with the guy today and had a conversation about the piece and its story. I know him quite well and know he is a honest person. So, I asked more about the story behind it and how did he get it. He had bought it from Sweden from the son of the woman who had got this and one other similar card from Hajo. Other one was unfortunately lost. The woman was a friend of german official (cant remember the name) who introduced her to Hajo before she left germany in 1939. The woman was studying arts in berlin in 1930s and was adviced to leave because of antinazi-ideas that were popular among her art colleagues. She died in sweden in 2003 and thats when the card was found.

I will most probably gamble a little with this one and buy it.

Thats extraordinary thanks! But, well well look at that! The provenance of the item and this is enough for me. It all seems to match. I guess I'm buying it for sure.

Card looks 100% right to me. A very nice example of a rare and hard to find SS visiting card!

Sounds like wonderful news! Do you happen to have SS visiting cards you could share with us in your personal collection? Would like to see some more of these, since I'm having some hard time finding good reference pictures online.

                    Cheers!

These are about the examples I found that seemed to be more or less legit.
                      Still thanks for your effort

Unfortunately I do not currently have any examples in my collection, however I have handled a few of those in the past and was considering purchasing one last year on the last day of the Max Show, it belonged to an SS Gruppenführer, however price was a bit high for me since I already made many other purchases. The reason you do not see many examples on the internet is that they are pretty rare, 99% of them were destroyed after the war and thankfully there are not much reproductions out there yet that I know of (except of course the Heinrich Himmler ones and the top leadership ones such as Hitler, Goring, Goebles, etc..)

                        Regards,
                        Hugo
