Hello,

I thought I would present this photo. It is from SS-Panzergrenadier brigade 49, on the back is written "Fliegerabwehr - fahrt nach Dänemark".

This NCO is clearly from Unterführerschule Radolfzell. But was these boards not used only for the staff of the school..?..
And he is also clearly from the 3rd SS-division, for 2 reasons: 1. he has the demjanks-shiled and he - still - retain his cuff-band from the SS-Standarte Oberbayern.

Just too bad it is not possible to see his medals and awards.

Did they do that..?..yes they did..

I agree, that surely would be the case..

Great photo indeed with one additional remark. Althoug he is clearly alligned with TK Div it was far from uncommon for former members to retain their old cuffititles; especially the Oberbayern ct is often witnessed in such cases. For him being in the staff of the school this would even more make sense.

Just a thought.
