I like the insignia. Does it have an RZM tag on the underside of the sweatband?

I’ve never seen anything but a Deschler skull on a black SS visor cap.
Reason being that all black caps were made before the war.

Beautiful hat, rarely seen in this colour lining configuration.
Have to disagree with you Steve, very likely made post 1939.
Does it have a tag?

Zimmermann were marked 499/41 from memory.
So it seems this visor was made around ‘40 - ‘41 ?
Probable - not sure though

This 'silver/gray' colored lining variety also existed with black rune/circle and the
burgundy/oxblood colored sweatband.
A-typical, but exists.

Original hat. I am 99% sure it was made by Felix Weissbach ("Fewegla"), RZM # 27.
