I’m not an expert on those but if you see drilling holes it’s not a good sign

I don't love such LAH ciphers too, but Mollo gives such photo in the book

Makes you wonder why the fakers would go to so much trouble to actually make these as accurate as possible, then use an oversize drill bit to bore a couple of massive holes through them?
Why not use a smaller drill bit and finish the holes off with a jewellers file before aging them?

Bad cyphers just like ones shown in Mollo's pic, drill holes crude casting real ones show crisp, thin stamped edges on the reverse side along with other details lacking on these.
