Variant Croatia shield

Hi Guys

Just got this tunic removed shield in- very interesting being embroidered on red linen as opposed to black wool. It was a direct vet purchase by Alden Hamilton apparently. I have definitely seen one of this type posted here in the past but have been unable to find the thread.

Does anyone have any information on this variation?

Interestingly it would appear that my example was mounted backwards with the reverse facing out.
