Have you ever bought something you know you can never sell?

I bought a group from the son of a veteran who came in to the Mesa Militaria Show. Some interesting items were there to include the SS Lazarett Munchen Dauhau bevo tags, an SS armband, a red cross armband, a red cross disc, some army and luft insignia. This wierd banner was in the group. I know it is unsaleable and will never have value, but the vet's son did not value it highly and it is rather amusing.

If I offered it for sale, I am afraid my dwelling would be surrounded with collectors carrying torches, hoes, and pitchforks, like an Old Frankenstein movie.

I hope some of you find it as interesting and amusing as I do.

If you find a period photo then you have a winner. On a tangent you can have the rarest original piece in the world but at what price does it sell, do you throw it in an auction where on a bad day it sells for peanuts or do you hold out for your "price" that never comes, it sometimes comes down to who is selling the item and where and when.
