Hi all,
few months ago I came across this rare M41 Waffen-SS NCO jacket.
It was found in an old attic in Austria and also came with two SS coats and some leather gear - unfortunately sold to another collector - however I was happy enough to get just the jacket.
The items were stored quite well, nevertheless some moths found their way inside the cupboard and left some nasty damage.. To prevent further insect damage the jacket was already put in the fridge for a few weeks.
The jacket is dated 1942, has a five button front and the common two step lining, produced by a SS contract maker, of course there was never an breast eagle on it, as said its a true SS jacket. Like most SS tunics, this one was worn with open collar. A cufftitle has been removed since it shows some tiny black sewing thread remnants, it was for sure hand sewn on. There are also some remnants of an award ribbon once sewn to the jacket.
Now enjoy some photos
